Ranger Essentials Training at Calvary Convention Centre

On Saturday, 5 July 2025, the Royal Rangers conducted a Ranger Essentials training at Calvary Convention Centre. Attended by 18 commanders, the training was facilitated by six Certified Instructors from the Royal Rangers Ministry, each committed to equipping leaders for greater effectiveness in their calling.
Ranger Essentials is a one-day, highly interactive training event designed to equip commanders with the skills needed to connect with today’s generation. Through this training, commanders learned how to build strong relationships with children, recognise ministry needs, and identify outreach opportunities in their communities.
The training also covered essential ministry tools such as how to deliver a life-changing devotion, conduct a spiritual service, and mentor boys/girls and young men/women into becoming future spiritual leaders.
The highlight of the day was the session on conducting a spiritual service. As part of this module, the commanders planned and performed a creative skit titled “The King is Dead,” using various props to bring the lesson to life. This hands-on activity demonstrated the power of interactive learning, a core component of Royal Ranger training.
In Royal Rangers, we follow the “Hear – See – Do – Teach” model of learning. This approach encourages the Rangers themselves to lead classes, while commanders facilitate the learning process. By doing so, Rangers retain more of what is learned and are able to grow in confidence, leadership, and spiritual maturity.
We thank God for every commander who invested time and effort into personal growth and development. This faithful commitment is instrumental in equipping and shaping strong, godly leaders for the next generation.
