Mid-Autumn Chinese Evangelistic Event 2021

  • Article by MACEE Team

The Mid-autumn Chinese Evangelistic Event (MACEE) that was completed on 26 September 2021 was exciting for everyone involved, as the approach was different from what was done before. It was spearheaded by a working team of 25 people involving the Chinese ministry Pastors, Coordinators, and Life Group leaders.

Believing in the power of prayer (Ephesians 6:18), this team met monthly to pray, plan, and prepare in early 2021. Furthermore, on a weekly basis, the Chinese congregation was challenged and encouraged to pray personally or in groups and to reach out to the non-believers.

Eight sessions of Tea Talks highlighting what God had done in our lives and creative cooking demonstrations were organised leading up to the main events on 25 and 26 September where Rev. Lawrence Yap, Senior Pastor of Charis Christian Centre, was our invited speaker.

Rev. Lawrence Yap preached about “It is More Blessed to Give Than to Receive”

We thank God for His providence and for the praiseworthy results! 132 new contacts including 43 potential believers attended the Tea Talks and 67 newcomers including 18 potential believers attended the main events. We praise God for the nine who responded to invite Jesus into their lives!

We commend all who have worked towards the success of MACEE and those who took this opportunity to introduce Jesus to their loved ones. May we all be encouraged, as the Word says, “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35).
