On 8 March 2026, the Chinese congregation held a Lunar New Year fellowship gathering in the multi-purpose hall after Sunday worship. Although the Lunar New Year had already passed, many of the 339 attendees were dressed up in traditional Chinese attire such as Tang suits and cheongsams.

Smiles could be seen on each face as both familiar faces and new friends shared the same tables. Once seated, conversations flowed quickly, with some even taking the opportunity to share the Gospel with their new friends.

Toward the end of the meal, the emcee thanked everyone for their enthusiastic participation. There was only one purpose in mind for this event: to share a meal together and count the many blessings of God. Indeed, such moments are rare and precious—the heartfelt greetings and bestowed blessings being the most beautiful part of the gathering.

After the closing prayer by Pastor Timothy Ong, the organising committee distributed red packets to every attendee, adults and children, married and single alike. Inside each red packet was a square refrigerator magnet printed with a Bible verse – both a thoughtful gift and a meaningful keepsake.

At the end of the luncheon, everyone left not only with stomachs filled, but hearts nourished as well.
